Islamabad - The dynamic three days international inter-school/college annual talent competition at Ivy Youth Leadership Olympiad continued at Roots Ivy International Westridge and University Campus with full zeal and fervour.
Celebrities and artists from all over Pakistan, including Javaid Miandad and Saqlain Mushtaq, took part in the event. Founder Roots School System Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq officially inaugurated the grand opening ceremony of the Ivy Youth and Leadership Olympiad and congratulated the IYLO core team and staff members on organising such a dynamic and vibrant event that facilitates and promotes talent and positive competition among the youth of Pakistan enabling them to come up with creative and ingenious ideas, says a press release issued here yesterday.
The competitions at Ivy Westridge campus included photography contest, maths Olympiad, ad-making and master chef contest. The special judges for master chef contest were celebrity chef Kaukab Khawaja, Mrs. Gen Khawar and the sous chef at PC Sajid Khan. One hundred and twenty-four students participated in master chef contest to create their best chicken sandwiches, salads and desserts to present to the judges.
Those who impressed the judges received master chef aprons and caps. Ahmed Tariq and Sara Raza and Nadia Farrukh were the judges for math Olympiad. Arsalan from Comics by Arsalan, VJ Shahzad Khan and VJ Maha were the judges for Ad-making contest. Umair Ishtiaq, Asad Durrani, Kabir from The Videographers and SHJ were the judges for photography contest.
Roots Ivy International Schools Pakistan CEO Khadija Mushtaq initiated the Olympiad in 2005 to enable the youth to compete with the nation’s best. She encouraged all students to explore their potential talent and avail such dynamic opportunities.
Other ongoing inter-college competitions at Roots Ivy University campus included Pakistan National Assembly (The Youth Parliament), Youth Perspective on Human Rights Laws, Young Diplomats Caucus (creating young diplomats), battle of the bands, fashion show and battle of the fandoms.
