Aides can’t hide Sharifs’ corruption: PPP

KARACHI - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari will return to Pakistan after December 10.

According to the sources, preparations for former president Asif Ali Zardari’s return to Pakistan are in full swing. He is expected to return to Pakistan between December 10 and 15. Zardari will return to Karachi, Lahore or Larkana. He will announce the final date of his return himself.

Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister Moula Bakhsh Chandio had said that PPP workers were making arrangements for Zardari’s return. A truck was also being prepared that would carry the PPP co-chairman on his return to the country.

It should be noted that the former president had earlier said that he was not living in exile and he would come back to Pakistan in a few weeks.

Separately, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of mother of party MNA from Tharparkar Faqeer Sher Muhammad Bilalani and offered his heartfelt condolences to his family.

In a condolence message issued here on Sunday, the PPP chairman prayed to Allah Almighty to grant eternal peace to the departed soul and courage and fortitude to the members of the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

In another development, the spokesperson for Bilawal House said in a statement on Sunday that the aides of the Sharifs, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family, could not hide the corruption of their leaders by using provocative language against the PPP leadership.

The spokesman said that Abid Sher Ali should concentrate on politics and refrain from acting like a clown. He said that Ali’s father had accused the PML-N leadership of corruption and killings.  “Now Abid Sher Ali should decide as to whether his father is speaking the truth or his leaders,” he said. The Panama Papers scandal was one of the biggest scandals of corruption in the country and should be thoroughly probed so that the nation knows the truth about the sources of the money invested in the offshore companies.
