ISLAMABAD: Today, President Mamnoon Hussain paid tribute to outgoing Army Chief General Raheel Sharif for his services in curbing extremism and terrorism through operation Zarb-e-Azb and the restoration of law and order across the country.

The President stated this while talking to Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif who paid a farewell call on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

President Mamnoon Hussain eulogized the professionalism and preparedness of Pakistan Army and said the country’s defence was in safe and capable hands.

He said the professional and leadership qualities of General Raheel Sharif as Chief of the Army Staff would always be remembered.

President Mamnoon Hussain expressed his good wishes for General Raheel and his family members in their future life.

General Raheel Sharif thanked the President for his guidance and support in discharge of his official responsibilities.
