Eid Milad security plan finalised

KANDHKOT - Kashmore police has chalked out a plan to ensure peace on the eve of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH).

According to a press release issued here, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bashir Ahmed Brohi held a meeting with police officials at his office to discuss security arrangements in connection with the occasion.

According to the plan, more than 2,200 police personnel would be deployed across Kashmore district, particularly at places of worship and along the routes of processions.

The SSP directed all police officials to ensure the execution of the security plan. He also stressed close coordination between them in order to preempt any untoward incident.

Talking to media men, SSP Bashir Ahmed Brohi said that a comprehensive security plan had been drawn up under which extra-ordinary measures had been taken for ensuring security during the processions and gatherings to be held to mark the occasion.

He informed that more than 50 big and small processions would be taken out on the day. “Special teams of commandos would accompany the processions. They will also be deployed around mosques, imambarghas and other religious places,” he elaborated.

He disclosed that furthermore all the entry and exit points of the district would be sealed while more pickets would be set up in areas of the district bordering Balochistan and Punjab.

He further informed that a bomb disposal squad would also travel with the main procession, which wouldl be taken out from Noorani Masjid Gulsher Mohallah, and would culminate  in front of Noor e Mustafa Masjid.

Two ‘absconders’ held

Meanwhile, Kashmore police have claimed to have apprehended two absconders from various parts of the district. According to Kashmore police spokesman Nadar Channa, SHO Kandhkot Shahid Hussain Memon and his team during snap checking nabbed Usman, son of Dost Mohammad Sabzoi, who was wanted to A-section police in connection with various cases of crime, while Karim Bux Lashari was another absconder caught by police.
