Model town society plans to sell about 55 kanals of its gardens in J-block for a commercial project. They argue that they need money to run the affairs of the society. I wonder how the society will be run when this money runs out. I suppose the current administrators will be long gone and it will be a matter for the future administrators to deal with. The residents will be at a constant loss, as the concept of garden town is fast becoming a victim of greed and corruption. Model town society has already lost about 70 kanals of its gardens to a mega department store with a parking lot for about 5000 cars per day. If we do not act now these land grabbers will also turn the Linear park into another commercial project.
