The Emperors new cloths

If a doctor fails to see an ailment, there is no possibility of a remedy. Our Prime Minister has stated that he cannot see any corruption in his government. It seems the whole country is having nightmares, while those in the government consider that all is well. Perhaps the governments concept of an acceptable level of corruption is more than the capacity of this country to absorb and for its people to endure. If the government had the will to check and control corruption that prevails in Pakistan, it would have appointed independent and honest individuals as Chairman NAB, Attorney General, Auditor General and given them powers to prosecute anybody violating the law. Up until now not a single high profile official, or minister has been charged or punished for corruption. Nobody in government seems to be bothered by the hue and cry raised by the international media, donors and international financial agencies or the numerous scams that are uncovered almost daily. From rental power, to sugar cartel, to PIA, NICL, railways, PSO, NHA, PASSCO, TCP, NBP etc all seem to be going well in the opinion of our PM. Let us pray for divine intervention, because our elected leadership have time and again refused to save this country from corruption mafia because they do not believe it exists.
