Riaz Town, Khayaban-e-Akhtar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal illegal towns were sold by owners/sponsor in 1983, 1996 and 1996 in Khan Pur City without official approval and without transfer of 38 percent area of roads and amenity services to Municipal Committee Khan Pur TMA Khan Pur in contravention of Local Government Act 1996 and local Government Ordinance 2001 and Municipal By-laws of Municipal Committee Khan Pur. I had first applied to Mian Shahbaz Sharif Chief Minister on September 30, 1997 and subsequently wrote letters/applications to Chief Minister Punjab and Secretary LG CD Civil Secretariat Lahore and even visited Civil Secretariat Lahore on various occasions. In 2001 and in 2009 the Department LG CD had conducted detailed enquiries but despite a lapse of about 14 long years no action had been initiated against law breaking landowners/sponsors of illegal/unapproved housing schemes. Chief Minister is requested to initiate enquiry against delinquent LG CD officials / TMA Khan Pur officials who had provided undue facility to lawbreaking land owners/ sponsor.
