KARACHI- Director General Rangers Sindh Major General Bilal Akbar announced to conduct complete monitoring of Karachi within six months.

During his visit to the Karachi Chambers of Commerce and Industries, the DG Rangers said it was being endeavored to restore law and order in Karachi.

Long-term and short operations are also being carried out to wipe out terrorism from the provincial capital, he added. He said Special Task Force of Rangers would soon visit Karachi for security purpose to investors so that a sense of security could be restored among traders.

Major Akbar said abduction for ransom and extortion collection had reduced in the city following Rangers’ action against criminals. He told that Rangers had conducted around 250 targeted operations in Karachi in which several hardened criminals including TTP fighters were arrested.
