Rawalpindi - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Punjab leaders and workers have registered their strong protest against Awami Muslim League (AML) President and MNA from NA-55 Sheikh Rashid Ahmed for using offensive and defamatory language against their party Chairman Bilawal Zaradri and other leaders.

They also warned Rashid to avoid bashing their leadership or else they would respond him in the same way. The PPP Punjab leaders were addressing a press conference here Monday.

These leaders included PPP Punjab Deputy Secretary General Haji Salim Khan Cheehma, central leader Adnan Khawaja and Study Circle Rawalpindi Coordinator Raja Israr Abbasi Advocate. Salim Cheehma condemned the statements of Sheikh Rashid against Bilawal and other leaders and termed him representative the anti-democracy enemies.

“We are against the use of offensive language, hate and torture in politics,” he said adding that they would never tolerate such language against their leaders. He said that the residents of NA-55 had voted Sheikh to power for solution of their basic problems but unfortunately he was not paying heed in this regards.

Responding to media queries, he said that PPP Punjab President Mian Manzoor Wattoo was struggling hard to re-organize their party and “we are united under his leadership.”
