LAKKI MARWAT - The district police administration arranged one day training session for the members of volunteer force in the police lines, said an official on Monday.

He said that the training activity was arranged on the orders of District Police Officer Ismail Kharak. “The basic aim of the training is to equip volunteers with essential skills to play their effective role in assisting police to maintain peace and ensure security of mourners during Muharram,” he maintained.

He said that experts imparted training to the volunteers on how to conduct body search and identify suspected people and material.  “The volunteers were also imparted basic skills of keeping close coordination with policemen with special emphasis on remaining alert and perform duty with commitment,” he added.

Meanwhile, DPO Ismail Kharak inspected the training activity and watched members of volunteers force exhibiting body search and other actions. He said that police would make all out efforts to maintain law and order situation during Muharram. “With the help of volunteers the local police will ensure observance of 10th of Muharram with peace and religious harmony,” he added.
