Lahore: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore today indicted as many as 20 suspects, involved in lynching two alleged suspects after twin suicide blasts, outside the churches in Youhanabad.

The people turned violent after the bomb blasts and caught two alleged suspects who had connections with the banned outfits. The police was about to shift them for interrogation when the protesters dragged them out of the vehicle and baton charged them. Later, they gunned them down with the pistol the alleged militants possessed. The protesters took their bodies to Ferozpur Road and burnt them.

ATC judge Muhamamd Kasim was hearing the case in which the investigating officer presented at least 20 suspects in the court along with their case challans.

The policeman told the court that apprehended suspects, who took to the street, set two innocent residents on fire in a suspicion of terrorists post churches bombing. SSP said that suspects were taken into custody after matching their images from footages and with the record of Nadra.

All the suspects have been found guilty during investigation, he added. Meanwhile, the detainees denied the charge and pleaded innocence in the case. Subsequently, the court indicted all the suspects and directed the police officer to present witnesses in next hearing.
