DHAKA: Acting Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Maqbul Ahmed expressed deep shock and condolences, as over 300 people have been killed and more than 2000 people were injured in a massive earthquake, which took place in Afghanistan and Pakistan on 26th October. To which he said that, the massive casualties and losses that occurred due to this natural catastrophe would not be filled easily.

I hope that the victim countries would be able to overcome these immense losses shortly. I am praying for the salvation of the deceased and extending deep sympathy and condolence to their families and also praying for the quickest recovery of the wounded people.

Bangladesh also experienced a light tremor on that day. In this backdrop, the government of Bangladesh should take some measures in advance to create mass awareness in this regard.
