Exhibition depicts HR violations in IHK

Rawalpindi - A photographic exhibition arranged by Rawalpindi Arts Council depicting the atrocities of the Indian forces on the innocent people of the Indian Held Kashmir was put on display here yesterday. PML-N MPA Tehseen Fawad and Executive Director Punjab Arts Council Chaudhry Asif Pervaiz flanked by Naheed Manzoor, Chairman Jinnah Iqbal Fikri Forum Rana Abdul Baqi and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition. More than two hundred pictures were showcased in the exhibition which highlighted the violation of human rights by the Indian forces. On October 27, 1947 the Indian troops occupied Jammu and Kashmir in total disregard to the partition plan of the sub-continent as well as against the Kashmir’s aspirations.
While expressing her views on this occasion, MPA Tehseen Fawad said the series of the atrocities of the Indian forces on the innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir is violation of the human rights and has become a challenge for the international powers claimant of human rights.
Executive Director PAC Chaudhry Asif Pervaiz that India’s rigid and unrealistic stance on Kashmir is the main hurdle in peaceful settlement of the conflict.
He added special events are also organised in Lahore, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Multan, Bahawalpur, Murree, Faisalabad and DG Khan to observe Black Day to show solidarity with innocent Kashmiris.
Naheed Manzoor said the United Nations was silent on the issue of human rights violation.
Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed thanked all the guests. He said Pakistan will support Kashmiris till achievement of their right to self-determination.
