PESHAWAR - Following the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Provincial Minister Punjan Raja Ashfaq and Chaudhri Sher Ali handed over 50 trucks of food and inedible items to Provincial Minister Shah Farman and Advisor to Chief Minister Mushtaq Ghani.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ministers thanked the Punjab government for assisting the earthquake affected families by dispatching all necessary goods including 10,000 tents, 10,000 blankets, 10,000 foods packages and other items.

The relief items have been sent to affected areas while special rescue squad and nurses have also been sent from Punjab to assist the earthquake-affected families. Provincial Minister Raja Ashfaq and Chaudhri Sher Ali said that in this hour of grief nation is united to cope with any situation.

They said that the relief and rehabilitation process will be fully assisted by Punjab government and they will leave no stone unturned to provide best possible relief to the affected persons.

KP Provincial Minister Shah Farman thanked the Punjab government and appreciated their generous assistance in this hour of trouble.

Shah Farman said that federal government must assist Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to share the relief and rehabilitation process as most of the infrastructure of the province is badly affected.

He said that they have started supply of relief goods to affected areas but there are difficulties to reach mountainous areas in Chitral and Shangla for which government is taking all possible measures to reach affected families.
