Salman Ahmed says he managed to escape after Islamabad police arrested him from outside Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence.

The Junoon singer was arrested while he was on his way to visit Imran Khan ahead of their protest against the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) that is to take place on November 2.

"This is an example of state terrorism. All being done to protect the corruption of ruling family," Salman Ahmed later posted on his Twitter account.

While the singer is saying that he escaped at his own volition, it is now being reported that he was released on the orders of IG Sindh.
