KARACHI - Following the directives of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, a five-member inquiry committee constituted to probe the allegations of improper conduct of public sector medical colleges/universities entry test conducted on October 22, 2017 through National Testing Service. 

The composition of the committee is Aijaz Ahmed Mahesar, Special secretary Health as Chairman and Mohammad Akhlaq, DG health, Dr Khalil Ahmed Pathan MS Government General Hospital Lyari, Mohsin Shailkh additional Director health dept and Nadeem Akhtar Shaikh as members. Nadeem would also work as convener.

The terms of reference of the committee are: “To ascertain the varsity of the allegations appearing in print and social media that question paper and answer key were leaked and provided to candidates prior to test on receiving illegal gratification. To probe into the process involved for Medical College Entry Test conducted through NTS for admissions in Public Sector Medial Colleges/Universities of the Province and to record and probe statements of stakeholders including the students and parents.

The committee has been directed to submit its findings along with recommendations within ten (10) days. The committee has also been allowed to co-opt any member for assistance as per requirement.
