FAISALABAD-Black Day against Indian cruelties in occupied Kashmir was observed throughout the district. Different organizations, parties and social associations arranged various programs to condemn the India Army brutalities and express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren. Faisalabad Arts Council had arranged a photo exhibition at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Art Gallery in which photos highlighted the cruelties of Indian army. ADC (G) Khalid Masood Farooka was chief guest while Resident Director Arts Council Sofia Bedar, officers of different departments and citizens were also present on the occasion. ADCG Khalid Masood Farooka said that Kashmiri brethren should be given their fundamental right in accordance with their aspirations.

He said that the world powers should realize the requirements of the justice and to play their role for the independence of the Indian held Kashmir. He said Pakistani nation would stand by Kashmiri brethren until the realization of their rights to self determination. Sofia Bedar said that Indian cannot deprive the Kashmiris of their right through brutalities. She said we salute the struggle of independence of kashmiri brothers & sisters, Indian govt. should fully understand that it cannot crush spirit of independence of Kashmiri people through bullets.

Later, a seminar was held at Fatima Jinnah College Tariqabad in collaboration with the social welfare department to mark the Black Day. DDO Social Welfare Zile Huma and other speakers urged the world powers to get the resolution of UNO implemented for resolution of outstanding issue of Kashmir.

Meanwhile, different rallies also arranged to show commitment with the Kashmiris on the occasion of Black Day. Banners were also displayed on roads, intersections and other important places carrying the slogans of Kashmir Independence by the district administration.
