Get ready to oust rulers, Sh Rashid asks nation

| Regrets rulers made their sons tigers while making Pakistan Asian tiger | Qureshi says probe into Multan Metro to unveil Shehbaz Sharif’s corruption

MULTAN-Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid Ahmad asked the nation on Friday to get ready before December 25, saying we would drag the rulers out of their palaces.
Addressing a public meeting held here at Chungi No-14, he said that he is a suicide politician and is ever-ready to do anything for getting the masses their rights. He said that liar and dishonest rulers are imposed on the poor masses, adding that those who claim to be elected by people’s votes, are looting the people with both hands. He maintained that these rulers always befooled the people after coming to power and only increased their wealth and properties.
He said that one ruler raised the slogan of roti, kapra aur makaan but he did not give even a graveyard to the masses. “Another claimed to make Pakistan Asian tiger but instead made his own sons tiger,” he maintained. He said that these rulers fled to Saudi Arabia after seeking pardon and lived there in palaces. He pointed out that Pakistani women gave birth to their children on roadsides while the rulers went to London for their treatment. He said that Pakistani people are dying of diseases and the majority of the youth is jobless. “Are the people of Pakistan insects?” he posed a question.
Sheikh Rashid said that charges have been framed against finance minister but he is still sitting in the meeting of National Security Council. “Nowhere in the world does this happen that a person remains minister even after his indictment,” he maintained. He suggested to the Army Chief and DG ISI not to sit with the PML-N in National Security Council meetings.
He said that the masses do not pay taxes to be stolen by the rulers and send abroad. He alleged that the dishonest and extortionists, who sought kickbacks, have been imposed on poor people. He said that the Chinese ambassador told him that 200 people were shot dead in China on corruption. He warned that those, who committed corruption in metro project, would be shot on metro. “The time is not far when the commission mafia will find no place to hide,” he anticipated. He said that all those, who keep their properties abroad, should not be allowed to do politics in Pakistan. He claimed that Nawaz Sharif had told his close aides that the entire money was usurped by Shehbaz Sharif.
Speaking on the occasion, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that electing a disqualified person as party president is a clear violation of the constitution, adding that the Supreme Court had given the verdict that Nawaz Sharif was not sadiq-o-ameen. “Nawaz Sharif asks why he was ousted. Let the NAB references be finalised, he’ll get the answer to his question,” he said.
“We’re thankful to the Chairman NAB that he opened Multan Metro corruption case. If complete record of the project is produced before the NAB, Shehbaz Sharif will also be caught,” he claimed. He said that the PML-N, JI, ANP, PPP and independent candidates failed to defeat PTI candidate.
He said that Khatme Nubuwwat is integral part of our faith and all Muslims agree on this point. He said that the poor and failed policies of the government completely ruined powerloom industry in the country. “Hundreds of thousands of labourers are jobless in Faisalabad, Multan and Gujranwala due to the destruction of powerloom industry,” he regretted.
Speaking on the occasion, MAN Malik Aamir Dogar said that Sheikh Rashid always adopted a brave stance in the national assembly and confronted thieves and tyrants. He said that the struggle for new Pakistan is very near to its success. He added that the Supreme Court gave an historic verdict on Panama Case and tomorrow will be the day of PTI and AML. “We’ll make Quaid-e-Azam’s Pakistan jointly,” he declared.
Mufti Qavi remanded
A local court remanded Mufti Abdul Qavi, an accused in Qandeel Baloch murder case, into police custody for three more days here on Saturday. Police produced Mufti before the court on expiry of his four-day physical remand. He was remanded into police custody twice for four days. However, police could not interrogate him as he complained of chest pain and was shifted to Multan Institute of Cardiology soon after his arrest on October 18. The doctors performed his angiography and discharged him from the hospital after he recovered from high blood pressure.
Earlier, police took Mufti to Lahore on Wednesday where his polygraph test was conducted on lie-detecting machine. Sources claimed that Mufti did not cooperate with the police during the test and gave irrelevant answers to the questions asked during the test. Sources added that some of Mufti’s statements contradicting others were also spotted during the test on which police sought more physical remand of Mufti from the court. Sources claimed that some immoral material (video clips) were also found in Mufti’s phone.
The cleric was indicted into the case under sections 302 and 109 on the request of Qandeel’s father, Muhammad Azeem. The social media celebrity was strangled by her real brother on July 16, 2016 in the name of honour. Although the murderer Waseem confessed to his crime, police suspected that Mufti provoked him to commit this crime.
