MULTAN-Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), JAZZ, Asif Aziz has said that the partnership between JAZZ and VEON has enabled over 53 million consumers of JAZZ to benefit from facilities like infotainment, E-commerce, free calls, messaging and pictures sharing without spending even a single bite of data.

He observed this while addressing a news conference here at JAZZ office the other day. Regional Technical Head Muhammad Faisal and Tariq Durrani were also present on the occasion. He added that Pakistan just entered into digital age and JAZZ made partnership with VEON to let the people of Pakistan enjoy the benefits of digital revolution like calls, messages and pictures-sharing for free. He said that the application was designed while keeping in view the needs and demands of the users. He said that the world changed fact, so did the consumers’ needs. “JAZZ has made a partnership with VEON which will enable millions of our customers to make calls even if they don’t have balance. Our target is to bring entire Pakistan online as access to internet is a basic human right and not just a luxury,” he added.

Senior Manager VEON Mian Talha disclosed that after the launching of the application on October 11, over six lac downloads were recorded till date. He said that the VEON had more features than WhatsApp and the data of the consumers was fully secure. He said that the consumers of all networks could download the application, though features like free calls and messaging were available to only JAZZ consumers. He said that besides App to App free calls, texts and picture sharing, the JAZZ consumers would be able to do online shopping on discounted rates, access media content and articles for free. To a question, he said that talks were underway with other cellular networks too but currently VEON had entered into agreement with just JAZZ in Pakistan. He disclosed that VEON had been launched in many other countries.
