Rawalpindi - After inaugurating the gas pipeline in Mohala Imam Bara on Friday, the Advisor to Prime Minister Hafiz Usman Abbasi claimed in a public gathering that there would be no gas load shedding from December 2017. He said that Rawalpindi is considered as the castle of N-League and that his party would win in the upcoming general elections.
On the occasion, former MNA Malik Shakil Awan, Mayor Rawalpindi Sardar Nasim Khan, ex-MNA Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, former MPA Zia Ullah Shah, MPs Zaib un Nisa Awan, Tehsin Fawad, Lubna Rehan Pirzada and Maqbool Ahmed Khan were also present.
Advisor to PM Hafiz Usman Abbasi said the N league government will put an end to the energy crises by December 2017. “The citizens will not complain that their children are going to school without having breakfast due to gas load shedding,” he said. Adding that the government has been taking concrete steps to provide basic facilities to the masses, he said that gas is being provided to the industrial sector as well as to vehicle owners at CNG pumps.
He said the people of NA-55 had voted the candidates of PML-N in local body’s elections in 2013 because they regretted their previous mistake of polling in favour of Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the Awami Muslim League President. Hitting at MNA Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Hafiz Usman Abbasi said that N-League had given him an important portfolio but he (Sheikh) used slang language against the leadership of PML-N.
He said the people of Murree would accord a shoe welcome to Sheikh Rashid in streets of Rawalpindi if he did not stop using offensive language against the Sharif family.
Addressing the gathering, Malik Shakil Awan, the ex-MNA, thanked PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for laying the gas pipe line in his constituency in Rs 100 million projects. He said the government also released a grant of Rs 5 billion for building TB Hospital in the city and gifted the luxurious and affordable service of Metro Bus to passengers.
