FAISALABAD-Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel on Thursday urged the nation to promote truthfulness, honesty, forgiveness and curb the ruthless attitude from the society in line with teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

He addressed at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad’s Central Mosque. He called for setting aside differences made in the name of sectarianism, race, politics and lingual division etc. He said that the country was running through difficult times due to non-implantation of golden principles of Islam in individual life. He added that the atmosphere of interest, ruthlessness, ignorance from Islamic guidance just for little benefits, telling lies, cheating others and not fulfilling promises have become common in our lives.

He lamented that instead of following Quran and Sunnah, the worship of wealth, power, respects and money had taken roots in the society and we had minimised trust in Allah Almighty.

He said that it had become common to tell lies in the society which is not only aggravating social problems but also adding to our sins. He stressed upon the students to give due respect to their parents, relatives, and teachers.

He said, “If we are doing our duties in the office with honestly, it is also worship.” He urged the people to offer prayers five times a day for getting Nijat at the Day of Judgment. He rooted out concept that increasing population is adding up to the problems. “The increasing population is not the issue. The problems are deviation from the religion and deterioration in our moral values and character. We should always concentrate on attaining the goal of success in the life after death that would last forever. He said that by adopting the real sense of Quran and following the sayings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), we will progress rapidly,” he said.

He called for flourishing the culture of love and brotherhood in the society right from the homes, offices and other places. He said that life of Last and Final Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him) is the practical example of Holy Quran and give us complete guidance in every sphere of life.

He urged the Muslims to be unified and repent for their sins. “If we follow in the footprint of last and final messenger Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), we will be able to get respect and Nijat at the Day of Judgment and in the world as well. We should apology from Allah Subhanhotallah for our sins. And we should spend the lives as per injections of Islam,” he added. UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqbal Zafar, Senior Tutor Dr Athar Javed, Dr Tahir Siddique, and tens of hundreds of students were also present.
