LAHORE-A Three Day Peace Drama Festival concluded yesterday at Alhamra Arts council by promoting the message of Tolerance, Peace and Harmony.

Provincial Minister for School Education Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan and Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman along with the Chairman Unique Group of Institutions concluded the event. Around 30 teams from various government, semi-government and private schools of Lahore participated in at the festival.

The grade 5 to 10 students participated in the competition and performed a 10 to 15 minutes skit on the theme of “Tolerance, Peace and Harmony”.

The competition encouraged the participants to see beauty in the imperfect world around them. They took different issues and presented them on the stage exquisitely.  The hall was fully packed including a mix gathering of students, parents, school teachers as well as State Alumni and others. The crowd encouraged young students of grade for their wonderful performances.

The best male performance trophy was given to (SabziWala) of Play ‘RastykaPathar’ from Unique Boys High School 65-L Gulberg whereas (Maa) of play ‘AmankiShehzadi’ from Christian School was chosen as the best female performer.

At the end, Naeem Niazi event head, thanked the guests and also to the teams for their extraordinary work. He emphasized that it was extremely important to provide similar positive opportunities to our youth to showcase their talent.

Addressing the concluding ceremony, Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan said that it’s a wonderful effort by Unique Group of Institutions for promoting the message of Tolerance and Peace for creating Harmony. Such  activities will be helpful for creating awareness and spreading the message of peace and harmony among the people and students.He stressed that such festival will be held on regular basis because getting degree is not important but getting knowledge about these core issue is vital for not only the individual but for the society as well.

MianMujtabaShuja Ur Rehman said “Such kinds of activities are essential for personality grooming of the students and their personality building,” he said.
