Lawyers to devise strategy today

LAHORE - Lawyers, from the platform of Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA), will devise a future course of action in Tuesdays (today) meeting against the alleged misbehaviour of the District Sessions Judge Lahore Sheikh Zawar Ahmad. As per details, LBA representatives unanimously decided to boycott the court of DSJ Lahore on account of his ongoing alleged misbehaviour with the junior and senior lawyers during the proceedings. LBA Secretary Qasim Hassan Bhuttar told this scribe that the authority concerned should accept the demands of the lawyers. Lawyers have demanded Zawars transfer because they are totally dissatisfied with his ongoing misconduct with the lawyers, he added. Bhuttar said that on Tuesday, the lawyers representatives from the LBA platform would decide to take out rally or not and not allowing the Judge Sheikh Zawar Ahmad to sit in the court. To a question, he said that the said judge should resolve the matter before any strict decision would be taken by the lawyers. Lawyers want his transfer in an amicable way but so far no positive response has been shown by him. We are not ready to face his any further misconduct during the proceedings being done with both the junior and senior lawyers. When contacted the senior lawyers said that they were unable to comment on the story including those who were going to contest the upcoming election of LHCBA.
