LAHORE - Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Monday took a serious notice of the non-compliance with the order of this court earlier passed to seek examination of the mental health of a woman. On the last date of hearing the court had directed the Secretary Health to do the needful but the order was not complied with. Resenting the bureaucratic trend of this sort, the court remarked that they can do any other job if they do not know to discharge their obligations. The court directed the Secretary Health to obey the court order within 48 hours or he would be dealt with strictly. Earlier, the court was informed by the legal adviser to the Health Department that the Secretary Health was not called to the court so he did not show up. He requested to the court for some time to act upon the court order. The court is hearing the matter moved by one Mukhtar contending that despite order by the lower court, Health Department was not examining the health state of the brain of his younger sister. He said a considerable time had elapsed since the order was passed so this court may take view of that fact and make the department concerned to obey the order.
