KURRAM AGENCY At least six suspected militants were killed and 11 others got injured, when NATOs helicopters shelled Matta Nagar locality in Kurram Agency in the wee hours of Monday morning. According to details, for the first time, helicopters of the allied forces committed the space violation in Kurram Agency after crossing into Pakistani territory at about 5:00am and bombarded Matta Nagar, leaving six persons dead and 11 others injured, sources said. The NATO helicopters came several kilometers deep inside the Pakistani airspace. The sources said that as per Afghan police officer Haq Yar Khan, the choppers of the allied forces targeted those militants, who according to him, were on way back to Kurram Agency after attacking the NATO forces in Paktia province of Afghanistan. In this connection, when this scribe contacted the Political Administration of Kurram Agency for comments it expressed ignorance about the incident. However, it said that it would be in a better position to say anything about the matter after a proper investigation. It is worth mentioning here that on Friday last, the NATO helicopters in a similar attack had killed at least 30 suspected militants after crossing into Pakistans air space in North Waziristan Agency.
