LAHORE - The All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran has decided to launch membership drive for Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, announcing to provide membership of chamber to at least 2,000 small traders by March 31, 2013.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the APAT Lahore chapter executive committee, presided over by central general secretary Naeem Mir and attended among others by Rana Shahbaz, Shahid Bilal, Ayyub Butt, Sheikh Fazal Elahi, Babar Ismail and Sheikh Israr.

The meeting decided that APAT will field its candidates on all seats of the Associate Class in the next election of the Chamber.

The meeting also declared to form 8 zonal committees to ensure access to all voters of the LCCI. The meeting took decision of forming a legal committee of senior lawyers to unveil corruption and illegalities at the LCCI. General Secretary Naeem Mir told the meeting that APAT will continue its struggle to bring small and medium size traders at the LCCI forum with a view to smash statuesque.
