PESHAWAR - The Difa-i-Pakistan Council (DPC) on Thursday announced to hold a big protest rally against the sacrilegious movie on coming Monday starting from Ring Road to Jamrud.
The announcement was made by DPC media coordinator and Jamaat-e-Islami Provincial Secretary Information Israrullah Advocate, while addressing a news conference here at the Peshawar Press Club.
Flanked by members of the organizing committee from DPC allied parties, including Abu Muavia of Jamaat-e-Ahl-e- Sunnat, Muhammad Ayub of JUI-Sami, and Mubashir Iqbal of Jamatud Dawa, he said that all the parties in DPC have decided to organize a mass rally against the contemptuous film made in the United States of America. He informed that the rally would be led by the DPC central Chairman Maulana Samiul Haq, JI central Ameer Syed Munawar Hassan, central Ameer Jamaatud Dawa Hafiz Saeed and leader of Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnat Mualana Muhammad Ahmad, and other central and provincial leaders of DPC.
The DPC coordinator informed that the participants of “Hurmat-e-Rasool” (PBUH) march will gather at the University Road near Jamia Mosque on Monday while the caravan would proceed towards Jamrud.
Israr claimed that the rally would be peaceful, as it would be taken out under the supervision of the DPC central of leaders.
“We strongly condemn the sacrilegious movie maker, the US government for hurting the spiritual feelings and sentiments of more than one billion Muslims across the world,” he deplored, and demanded exemplary punishment for the culprits involved in this inhuman act.
He vowed to render all kind of sacrifice for protecting the sanctity of the Holy Prophet and Islam and would continue their agitation campaign till the exemplary punishment of satanic filmmaker.
PML-LM takes out rally against US movie
Activists of Pakistan Muslim League-Likeminded (PML-Likeminded) on Thursday staged a protest demonstration against the sacrilegious film and demanded death sentence to the filmmaker and those involved in this contemptuous act.
The PML activists led by its Provincial General Secretary Malik Riaz, holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the blasphemous movie makers, gathered here at Sher Shah Suri Road outside the Press Club to record their protest. The demonstrators also chanted their full-throated slogans against the film producer, the US government and Jewish lobby.             
Addressing on the occasion, Malik Riaz said that the film was a deliberate attempt on our religion that could not be tolerated in any case.
He termed the film a conspiracy against Islam and Muslims to infuriate and hurt the sentiments of more than one and a half billion Muslims across the world. He added that the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) give a message of peace, love, affection, and tolerance with a matchless devotion and adore for all.
“Islam is a religion of peace, harmony and brotherhood and the true Messenger Muhammad SAWW is a role model for the entire humanity, adding as the followers are increasing in the entire world day by day, he maintained. “We have great respect to all religions, sects and people belonging to different creeds and races, because Islam teaches us peace, affection and brotherhood, he added.
