Erdogan lauds Punjab uplift projects

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif held one-on-one meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan for one and a half hour on Thursday.Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan received Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif warmly. While welcoming the Chief Minister, Prime Minister Erdogan expressed his good wishes for the people of Pakistan on his behalf and on behalf of Turkish people, said a statement issued here.Shahbaz Sharif while talking to Turkish Prime Minister said that the role of Turk companies in various sectors in Punjab is laudable and we are proud of friendship of Turkey. He said that a number of projects are being executed speedily with the cooperation of Turk companies. He said that Pakistanis will never forget the relief and assistance by Turkish government and people during last year’s floods. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan while paying rich tributes to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for his initiatives taken for the development of the province and welfare of the people, assured that Turkey will continue its cooperation in public welfare projects. He expressed good wishes for the people of Pakistan and termed visit of Punjab Chief Minister to Turkey as an important step. It may be mentioned that Tayyip Erdogan despite important official and political engagements, held a detailed meeting with Shahbaz Sharif.
