BAHAWALPUR - Three persons who had allegedly kidnapped a student on gunpoint, have been arrested with Rs2 million ransom while the child has also been recovered, claimed police.Addressing a press conference, District Police Officer Sohail Habib Tajik said that one week ago, Muhammad Irfan, a student of Punjab College, was kidnapped from the Hasilpur Road by Muhammad Milad, Muhammad Waseem and Muhammad Zeeshan on gunpoint. The kidnappers had demanded Rs5 million as ransom from the father of Irfan.The DPO said that after that the police teams were constituted quickly. Kidnappers were traced through their mobile phone data and paid 2 million rupees according to the plan and took the action and recovered the kidnapped kid from them. He said that the police also recovered two illegal pistols and bullets. He further said that Waseen was a student of Islamia University while Milad is the son of a lawyer and a student of SE College.He said that the third suspect was already involved in the kidnapping of the son of SD High School Headmaster Muhammad Aslam, when he was a matric student in the school. The DPO said that the police arrested them form Jhangi Wala.
