FAISALABAD - The lawyer community can play a vital role in strengthening the political system which is the base for the development of all sectors including economy and social sector. The legal profession helps the common man get justice which result in mitigating their sufferings and maintain check and balance in society. GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr Zakir Hussain expressed the views at a daylong workshop titled "Advocacy Training Programme". The GCUF Law Department in collaboration with Inns of Court Advocacy Training Committee arranged a workshop which aimed at educating the students of law about the case preparation, speeches and witness handling with the help of case study here the other day. The concluding session was presided over by the GCUF Vice Chancellor while Supreme Court renowned lawyer Sardar Khurram Latif Khosa was the key speaker on the occasion. The VC said that the lawyers need to be professional and raise real issue of the masses with best ethics and moral values to ensure supremacy of judiciary. He stressed that the bar councils should enhance their role in strengthening political system across the country. He pointed out that a good lawyer acquired expertise in discussion and case preparation during his course of study. Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Khurram Latif Khosa apprised the students that effective preparation must be directed first toward the identification of real issues and issues in case and thereafter, presenting the evidence facts. He urged the students of law to leave no unturned to get the skills with excellent moral values to prove them successful lawyer during their practice at courts. Law College In-charge Mumtaz Ahmad also spoke on the occasion. Later, the certificates were distributed among the participants.two seminars on dengue: The Government College University, Faisalabad (GCUF) arranged two awareness dengue seminars in two different colleges of the city including Government Municipal Degree College Abdullahpur and Government Islamia College here the other day. The GCUF Committee for Dengue Control arranged the seminars wherein Department of Micro Biology Chairman Dr Muhammad Hadayat Rasool delivered lecture to the students, teachers and employees on anti-dengue measures and prevention from dengue mosquito. A large number of students, teachers and employees attended the seminars. Pamphlets regarding information on and prevention from dengue were also distributed among the participants.
