Think positive

Every morning, I see a lot of articles and columns in our newspapers criticizing the peace deal of government in Swat. Before signing the Nizam-e-Adal Regulation, critics were intent on criticizing the government for not fulfilling its promise of signing the peace agreement. One should not forget that there is a democratic government in Pakistan at present. It is not the decision of a dictator but that of the parliament and a democratic president. Pakistan has been facing the menace of terrorism for many years and going for war could not solve this problem. It is hoped that Nizam-e-Adl Regulation will bring peace in the region of Swat. That is in the interest of the whole nation. Instead of dubbing this deal as a failure of the government, one should take it positively. -HAMZA NASIR, Lahore, April 27.
