Speaking on the occasion, Kasi, Shahwani and others criticised the government for its failure to curb the surge in abduction They said kidnapping of lawyers was aimed at depriving the people of speedy justice. However, they added that such acts could not shatter lawyers’ resolve.

They said keeping in view the deteriorating law and order, the Governor and Chief Minister Balochistan should stay in the province.

“They (CM and governor) are in key positions and they must play their role for the safe recovery of missing lawyer Mukesh.” On the other hand, the courts in Quetta and other towns of Balochistan wore a deserted look as lawyers boycotted the courts.  Therefore, the hearings were adjourned till next date causing inconvenience to the people, particularly those who came from nearby districts.
