LAHORE–Additional District and Sessions Judge on Saturday adjourned the hearing of a dog theft case against Hamza, and directed the Ichhra police to come up with record on May 5.
An investigation officer of police submitted initial report of forensic laboratory. According to the report the hairs recovered from the car of Hamza, leader of the accused persons, and from the cage of German Shepherded dog are of some animal and also have resemblance.
The police told the court that the hairs of the dog were recovered from the car of Hamza when the owner of the dog, a government official Fareed, had informed the police about the theft of his dog worth Rs0.25million.
As per case details, after the theft of dog on Feb 22, the Ichhra police had registered a case against Hamza, nephew of a Sui Gas officer Awais Bajwa, and some unidentified person under section 380 (theft) and 453(trespass) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the application of dog owner. Since the registration of the case three investigating officers had been suspended.
