KOTLI - Indian troops resorted to unprovoked heavy shelling from across the border at Line of Control (LoC) along Azad Kashmir on Monday.

Indian Army, once again, carried out indiscriminate firing in Kotera sub-sector area near Kotli on the Line of Control (LoC). According to the military sources, this is the second time that the Indian forces have violated the LoC in one week. In the recent incident of indiscriminate firing in Kotera sub-sector, fortunately no loss of life took place. In response, Pakistan Army retaliated with full force that compelled the Indian side to discontinue the firing. The last incident of LoC violation occurred on April 25 when Pakistani and Indian troops exchanged fire on the LoC when Indian force broke a three-month-long period of calm in Poonch Sector by resorting to unprovoked firing, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations.
