If rigging proved, government would not be allowed to run: Qureshi

Multan: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi today said that the Prime Minister (PM) is bound to dissolve assemblies and call an interim government, if rigging in proved.

He expressed these views while talking to journalists in Multan. He said 2015 will be an election year. Qureshi said that PTI has returned to the Parliament after the establishment of judicial commission. People who are criticizing the party’s decision are the same who had urged PTI to return during sit-in.

Shah Mahmood Qureshid said that PTI’s return to parliament is annoying some PML-N leaders however; the party would unveil the faces of those who were involved in rigging.

Qureshi said evidence pertaining to rigging in the 2013 elections had been submitted to the judicial commission. “The evidence is linked to the polling bags, which will reveal if laws were violated or not. The truth will not come out until the polling bags are opened.” He added that if election rigging was proven in the judicial commission, the government will not be allowed to run.

While talking about the NA-246 by-election, he said that PTI has broken the shackles of fear orchestrated by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) did not even participate in the election out of fear, he added.

PTI vice-chairman said that PTI has accepted the results, as a fair election was conducted He said that farmers in Punjab are being exploited, as they are not getting appropriate prices for their crops.
