LAHORE (APP) - Punjab offers high return opportunities in Halal meat products, says Regional Chairman FPCCI Punjab Mian Muhammad Adrees. There are high investment opportunities in Halal meat processing, frozen food, dried meat, processed products, milk production plants, modern storage facilities, commercial farms, milk chillers and cold chains etc., he said in an interview with APP here on Saturday. He said that because of easiest business start-up,100 per cent foreign ownership, and for having one of the largest consumer base in the region Pakistan, especially Punjab is among the most attractive business destinations in the world. Due to my long business career and experience I can say with confidence that investment in the province earn rich dividends in Halal meat products as against any other destination in the world, he said. The investors can give priority to the Livestock and Dairy sectors because Pakistan was not only the fourth largest Milk producing country in the world but the local breed in the Punjab particularly was resistant to disease and environment stress. The important factor is that the Pakistan is open for investment in all sectors for Foreign Direct Investment and locals as well as foreign investors are treated equally due to the open investment policy of the government, he said. Talking about the legal protection to the foreign investors, he said that the repatriation of the profit was guaranteed by law while the international arbitration was enforceable through local courts. The Regional Chairman FPCCI further said that huge business opportunities are also available in a number of sectors including Transport, Infrastructure, Mines and Minerals,Housing and Urban Development, Livestock, Agriculture,Textile,Power,Health and Education.
