ISLAMABAD - Shalimar Club hosted a reception in honour of Pakistan and Asian No 1 U-14 tennis player Syed Nofil Kaleem Imam here on Wednesday. PTF president Syed Kaleem Imam was the chief guest on the occasion while sports secretary Qaiser Hussain Mirza, tennis players and sports lovers were also present on the occasion. Club secretary Syed Rizwan Mushhadi awarded shield to Nofil. An exhibition match was also played between Nofil and Rizwan. Kaleem lauded the services of the club in promoting sporting activities and said organising such events would help a great deal to Nofil and motivate him to perform at the highest level. Rizwan said: “Nofil has brought lot of respect for the country by achieving this distinction. Despite our limited resources, we honour players who perform exceptionally well.”–Staff Reporter
