The GC University Faisalabad has kicked off a survey of the dropouts to get them back to educational institutes.

The survey initiated at the union council level under the Chief Minister Education Enrolment Emergency Campaign 2013, said GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr Zakir Hussain. He was addressing at the inauguration of GCUF Emergency Enrolment Camp set up in UC 196 in collaboration with an NGO.

He said that the Chief Minister scheme will prove a hallmark in fulfilling the dream of 100 per cent enrolment rate. He was of the view that the camp will also help to raise the awareness among the masses regarding importance of education. No country can make progress without quality education. He directed the GCUF students deputed in the drive to help the teachers to get out of school kids back to the educational institutes.

He said that education is the engine of progress. “We have to take every tangible step to increase the literacy rate in country. Dr Naeem Mohsin said that first target of the campaign will be under developed areas. Educationists, Students and elite of the area attended the function,” he said.

PRAYERS: Special prayer for the mother of Sheikh Tahir Mehmood, deputy manager of (Public Relations) Fesco, will be held in Mosque of Officers Colony after Asar prayers on August 30. The prayer ceremony will start after Asar prayers and collective after Maghrab prayer. Friends, well-wishers and relatives are requested to participate in this event.
