LAHORE - Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA) and Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) has announced to extend full support for rehabilitation of hospitals and provision of essential medicine for Gaza people.

Addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Thursday, office bearers of FIMA and PIMA vowed to support the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the healthcare system in war torn Gaza. Dr Tanveer-ul-Hassan Zubairi, President FIMA, Dr Tariq Ismail, Secretary PIMA Punjab, Dr Fakhar uz Zaman, President PIMA Lahore and Dr Imran Zafar, incharge Relief, PIMA Lahore appealed the people to donate generously foe affectees of Israel assault.

PIMA will donate Rs 20 million for rehabilitation of destroyed Gaza hospitals and healthcare system. A team of senior surgeons from Pakistan will visit Gaza in September. FIMA has provided two convoys of 23 trucks containing essential medical supplies worth $700,000 to Gaza Health Ministry. 20 equipped ambulances, essential medicines, medical equipment and surgical consumables have been sent to Gaza.
