Reserves stand at $13.58b

KARACHI
The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at $13,581.6 million on 22 August 2014.
The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as, foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: $8,554.4 million, net foreign reserves held by banks: $5,027.2 million while total liquid foreign reserves are: $13,581.6 million.
During the week ending 22 August 2014, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$349 million to US$8,554 million compared to US$8,903 million in the previous week.  During the week SBP made payments of $165 million on account of external debt and other official payments, which include $147 million payment to IMF under SBA. There was no major inflow during the week.
