GILGIT - Pakistan Army has established free medical camps to provide basic health facilities for the people of backward areas in Gilgit Baltistan.

According to a statement issued by ISPR, Pakistan Army is providing health facilities through free medical camps .

The Army established a three-day free medical camp in Kondus area of Ganch Baltistan where hundreds of local patients were checked up by the army's medical specialists and provided free medicines.

Three doctors from DHQ Khaplu and one lady doctor from PPHI along with army doctors also contributed their services on closing day of the camp.

Deputy Commander Muhammad Amir visited the medical camp and appreciated the efforts for arranging the successful camp.  Speaking on the occasion, he said that free medical camps are necessary for healthy society.

Relief goods including bean, sugar, ghee and milk powder were also distributed among the 150 poor people of the whole region.

The Army had also established free medical camps in Karmanding, Thaly, Dagoni and Hudor valley of Ghizar in the region.
