KASUR-The three-day celebrations of 259th Urs of Sufi poet Bulleh Shah’s concluded here on Sunday.

Thousands of devotees from across the country including the Punjab Religious Affairs Secretary, Kasur DCO Ammara Khan and DPO Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi attended the Urs celebrations.

On the concluding day, the local mediamen including Haji Sharif Mehar, Muhammad Javed and Kasur Press Club President Saleemur Rehman also laid chadar on the shrine to pay their respect. Cultural shows and folk songs including Bazm-e-Bulleh Shah and Bazm-e-Waris Shah continued for the three days. Folk singers presented Bulleh Shah’s kalam in a beautiful manner, which attracted a large number of people. About 1,800 policemen were deployed for the security of the Urs celebrations at and around the shrine.

In the concluding ceremony, the participants offered special prayers for the development and prosperity of Pakistan, and unity of Muslim Ummah.
