The latest resignation of Chairman WAPDA is a loss of a good man who had courage to speak the truth over KBD which was declared by a former PM of PPP to have become a victim of politics. Opposition to KBD is due to politician’s asinine qualities and not due to opposition of any technical person. The result is that, where India has built 4000 large dams we are banking on only two dams of Tarbela and Mangla which are silting by the day and have lost 1/3rd capacity of storage. The PM is known for sacrificing everything to stay PM for the third or even fourth time by use of votes of allied parties for amendment in the Constitution. While exploding six nuclear devices in 1998 he had promised to build KBD as also made known by his late father.
It is not for the first time that a Chairman WAPDA has retired due to informing the public about facts about KBD. The rulers do not like facts but sycophants to praise their every move, however destructive it may be for the nation and PM Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is no exception as he is ready to sacrifice everything to stay in power in Pakistan. Allah help us over the wrong policies of our rulers.
