SIALKOT-A large number of people participated in the first death anniversary of seven people killed in the mortar shelling by Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) in Kundanpur of Sucheetgarh Sector here on August 28.

Quran Khawani was held in the village wherein a large number of people participated. They also offered Fateha for the eternal peace of the departed souls laying the floral wreaths at their graves.

In border village Kundanpur, the atmosphere remained gloomy as the people observed mourning. Targeting the civilian population in Sialkot border villages, the BSF had killed the seven persons including four persons of a family namely Mehmood, Aslam, Tasleem, Ashraf, Shehzad, Waqas and Irshad Bibi by unprovoked shelling on August 28,2015.

The families of the martyrs remained present in their houses in village Kundanpur. The local grieved families and heirs of the Pakistani citizens and local people protested against the Indian hostilities in Sialkot border villages. They also chanted anti-India slogans.

Meanwhile, the people living in Sialkot border villages including women and children gave a message of peace and love to the Indian people.

The border villagers expressed hope and wished durable peace along the Sialkot Working Boundary. They also prayed for the early establishment of durable peace between the two nuclear neighbours Pakistan and India. They said that the early establishment of peace was need and demand of the hour.
