KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Industries Manzoor Wassan predicted today that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) will divide into three groups.
Speaking to reporters in Karachi, Wassan said that senior MQM leader Farooq Sattar cannot issue statements without London leadership.
“I keep seeing dreams and in my opinion, Farooq Sattar cannot give statements without ‘London line’. The line gets disconnected sometimes but they try to re-connect it”, he said.
To a question, the PPP leader said that MQM will not vanish but it will win lesser seats in the 2018 general elections.
"We do not want MQM to fizzle out. We wish MQM would survive as a vibrant political party under an appropriate leadership", Wassan said.
MQM‘s fate remains uncertain as the law enforcement personnel have sealed its offices, bulldozed several illegal offices and detained party workers after the August 22nd attack on ARY News office by the party activists instigated by London-based MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s hate speech.
Wassan‘s statement came a day after MQM Member National Assembly, Asif Hasnain joined Mustafa Kamal‘s Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP).
