LAHORE - Sunni Ittehad Council has announced to launch movement for prime minister’s disqualification from September 1.

Its core committee yesterday decided to hold protest demonstrations at district level from Thursday, said SIC chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza. He added the council’s workers and followers will write thousands of letters to chief justice of Pakistan and chief election commissioner seeking PM disqualification.

Raza said that the days of the PML-N government were numbered and they would not stop anti-government protests until its success. He also demanded unity among opposition ranks for achieving its goal of PM’s accountability on Panama leaks.
