Srinagar: In Indian occupied Kashmir, thousands of people participated in anti-India and pro-freedom rallies organized by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference in Bandipora district.

People from Ajas and adjacent areas assembled at Jamia Masjid Ajas and raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans, Kashmir Media Service (KMS) reported.

APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani addressed the rally over telephone from Srinagar. He appealed to the people to remain steadfast.

During his address, the people pledged to continue the ongoing movement.

The rally was peaceful. APHC Bandipora District President while addressing the rally announced that that around 20 pro-India activists including many Panchyat members had resigned from their parties and joined the freedom struggle.

Because of the rain, people preferred to stay inside the Jamia Masjid located in Shaheed Farooq Chowk of Ajas.

Meanwhile, thousands of people from adjoining areas reached Kansoo Ashmuji where a mass rally was addressed by several local pro-freedom leaders. They offered Zuhr prayers in the open.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Kulgam chief Mohammad Shaban Dar, his deputy Fayaz Ahmad Rather and another local leader Mohammad Ramzan Shaikh addressed the rally.
