In occupied Kashmir, the authorities have booked over two-dozen innocent Kashmiri youth under the black law, Public Safety Act for participating in the recent anti-India demonstrations in Srinagar. According to Kashmir Media Service, a senior police official told media men that the police had arrested nearly 500 youth from the old city during the past six months. He said that some 25 youth were booked under the Public Safety Act. On the other hand, the police on Tuesday arrested five persons including an elderly man and a mentally unfit youth in Bandipore for participating in pro-liberation demonstrations. They have been identified as 60-year-old, Ghulam Mohammad Wani, Abid Hussain, Rayees Ahmad, Abid Ahmad and mentally challenged Gowhar Ahmad.
