LAHORE (PR) The Kashf Foundation, with around 300,000 active borrowers, has secured a 2 year facility of Rs 225 million under the SBPs MCGF. The MCGF covers around 40 percent of the term, while the remaining is secured through charge on receivables of the Foundation. This credit line will help Kashf Foundation to meet its funding requirements and achieve its mission of poverty alleviation for low-income houses, especially women. According to a press release, the Kashf Foundation has an excellent credit history and has previously paid off two term finance facilities with MCB. MCB has played a vital hand in helping Kashf Foundation realize its mission of providing financial access to all by closing out this transaction. This landmark deal will open new avenues for the microfinance sector and enable it to access commercial lending and take steps towards self sustainability.
