LAHORE The speakers at a seminar organised by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry Monday urged the government to impose agricultural tax to generate revenue, as feudal lords billions of rupees income is not in tax net since the country came into being. Mian Muhammad Adrees, the outgoing Regional Chairman of the FPCCI while addressing the business community of Punjab at the seminar, said during his two years tenure at FPCCI being Vice President and Regional Chairman, he tried to raise voice of business community at every forum but it was fruitless. Government has failed in resolving the issues of the business community. The Newly-elected vice president of the FPCCI Ch Aamir Ata Bajwa said that governments pessimistic approach is the core reason of current economic problems and crisis. As a result, industry is at risk and unemployment and inflation rate is increasing. He said that business community is main stakeholder but they have never taken into confidence while decision or policy making. That's why the business is going downward. Today nobody has trust in government policies so business community should be more active.
